20,000 Jawatan Kosong Diperlukan untuk Pekerja Kontrak di Sektor Awam
Pekerja kontrak dalam perkhidmatan awam boleh memohon 20,000 jawatan kosong sedia ada dalam sektor berkenaan kerana tawaran itu bukan hanya dikhususkan kepada pekerja swasta yang diberhentikan kerja, kata Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Tan Sri Ismail Adam.
Beliau berkata, permohonan untuk mengisi jawatan berkenaan terbuka kepada sesiapa yang berkelayakan dan pemilihan calon berjaya akan dibuat berdasarkan merit. “Ukuran merit berkenaan antara lain mengambil kira aspek kelayakan dan juga pengalaman. Justeru, pekerja kontrak dalam perkhidmatan awam yang berminat boleh mengemukakan permohonan seperti biasa. “Kebanyakan 20,000 jawatan kosong itu adalah dalam kategori sokongan, terutama perkeranian.
Mereka yang berminat boleh melayari laman web Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam,” katanya di sini, semalam. Akhbar kelmarin melaporkan sebanyak 20,000 pelbagai jawatan dalam perkhidmatan awam yang masih belum diisi, akan ditawarkan kepada pekerja sektor swasta yang diberhentikan akibat kelembapan ekonomi dunia. Menteri Sumber Manusia, Datuk Dr S Subramaniam, dipetik sebagai berkata pihaknya kini dalam proses mencari mekanisme sesuai membuat pengambilan secara terus dan serta-merta.
Berikutan itu, Bernama melaporkan Cuepacs menggesa kerajaan mengutamakan 50,000 pekerja kontrak yang berkhidmat bagi mengisi kekosongan berkenaan. Setiausaha Agungnya, Ahmad Shah Mohd Zin, berkata langkah itu paling adil dan logik memandangkan pegawai terbabit adalah berpengalaman dan kebanyakannya sudah berkhidmat antara 10 hingga 20 tahun.
Ismail berkata, sebahagian pekerja kontrak diambil berdasarkan pelaksanaan projek yang ada penetapan tempoh tertentu, tetapi ada kala suatu projek itu bersambung. Bagaimanapun, katanya, ada pekerja kontrak dalam bidang perkhidmatan tertentu akan diserapkan ke jawatan tetap jika berprestasi baik. Mengenai cadangan mengadakan skim khas untuk membuat pengambilan secara terus dan serta-merta bagi mengisi jawatan kosong itu pula, beliau berkata, pihaknya belum membincangkan perkara berkenaan dengan pegawai Kementerian Sumber Manusia.
