Do you feel stressed that you are constantly running out of time to get even the simplest of tasks done at home? Is your work life getting on top of you and you are not sure how to fix it? Are you tired and stressed and needing to make changes? I would like to show you how to work from home and stress-bust your life in 3 simple steps.
1 Give yourself permission to acknowledge that you have a problem. It is amazing to see the number of people who are tired and stressed and who continue to do the same thing they have always done and hope for different results. Understand that nothing will change until you change. Acknowledge that you have a problem and need to alter your course before heading for trouble. You have no control over the number of hours in a day, but you do have control over how you use it. The day is constant, night and day, and what happens in between is up to you.
2 Divide some paper into morning, afternoon and evening slots. Add the essentials, then think about all the other things you have to do and decide what you can eliminate from your daily life. Factor in some break times of 20-30 minutes in each period of the day where you can just have a coffee and chill. Take that time to relax. I heard the story of a woman whose life was so busy she went to the station 3/4 of an hour early just so that she could spend time reading. It was the only slot during the day that she was able to have a break and it became her lifeline to sanity.
3 Change your work environment. You don’t have to wake up in the morning and let the day dish out what it will. You really don’t. You can decide to make changes: get a new job, re-train, reduce your work hours - whatever. Think about getting a home-based online marketing business, for instance. If you have a computer you already own a valuable tool where with some hard work and commitment to learning new skills, you could start a new job. With a bit of effort and research, you could find the perfect blend that allows you the luxury of being your own boss and setting your own pace, whilst also giving you stress-free quality time for the other essentials in your life.
